Ice hockey calendar: Austria's World Cham­pi­onship appear­ances in the 2022/2023 season

Following the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship in Canada, held in Halifax and Moncton, at which Austria's U20 men's national ice hockey team unfortunately had to accept relegation, Austria's U18 women's national ice hockey team competed at the U18 World Championship Division IA in Ritten near Bolzano and secured its place in the division by finishing fifth.

Austria's U18 men's national ice hockey team earned promotion to the U18 World Championship Division IB in Bled, Slovenia, in mid-April, following a week of unrivalled tension.The World Championship for the U18 World Championship Division I, Group A, scheduled for mid-April for Austria's women's national ice hockey team at the World Championship Division IA in Shenzhen (China) was postponed and took place from 20 August to 26 August 2023. Austria finished third.

The highlight of the season was the top-level World Championship in Finland in May, where Austria's men's national ice hockey team played in Group A in Tampere and retained its place in the division.
