The women's national team represents Austria internationally – and, after promotion in 2025, plays in the top division of the IIHF World Championship for the first time.

About the team
The women's national team played its first international game in 2001 in Villach against Hungary. Since then, the team has steadily worked its way up through the World Championship divisions – winning Division IA in 2025 sealed a historic promotion to the top division.

Women's juniors
With the U18 and U16 national teams, the ÖEHV is systematically building the next generation. The junior teams gain experience at international tournaments and World Championships of their age group on their way to the senior team.
