Cesár Sampson, who represented Austria at the 2018 Song Contest with “Nobody but you”, speed skater Vanessa Herzog, multiple Winter Paralympics gold medallist Markus Salcher, Athlete of the Year with a Disability Veronika Aigner and her sister Elisabeth, as well as Austrian ice hockey legend Dieter Kalt, have all announced that they will attend on Sunday.

Monday will be dedicated entirely to the emergency services, who have been invited to the games. During the first intermission of Austria vs. Korea, singer Ramona will perform her song “Achterbahn”.

Wednesday is dedicated to the truly stronger sex. On this day, women and girls can enjoy all games at the Heidi Horten Arena with free admission. Austria will face France on this day. During the first intermission, the crowd will also be treated to a figure skating performance.

Friday is dedicated to disability sport. Between the two games, NED vs. NOR and AUT vs. HUN, everyone interested will have the opportunity to get to know the world’s fastest team sport during the “Para-Hockey Day” from 18:30–19:15, under the guidance of our best players. Para champions Carinthian Steelers will also be honoured.

On the final matchday, when Austria face the Netherlands, the title and the accompanying promotion can hopefully be celebrated (note: the top 2 teams are promoted to the top division). The supporting programme has already been confirmed: before Austria’s game, numerous celebrities will take to the ice to compete. Virginia Ernst will perform her song “Eigen” live before the start of Austria’s game against the Netherlands, while performances by Melanie Payer and Udo Wenders are also planned, followed by the winners’ ceremony after the game.

Taking part in the celebrity game will be, among others, former ÖEHV national team players Yasmin Stepina, Esther Väärälä, Sharon Hausberger, Claudia Wirl, Sophia Volgger, Eva Verworner, Isa Tschinder, Katharina Hybler-Erd, Alessandra Lopez, Sandra Klepp, Nina Geyer, Denise Altmann, Yvonne Grascher, Cäcilia Fenzl-Reichel, Sonja Katnik and Marlene Brunner; KAC legends Dieter Kalt, Hans Sulzer, Thomas Cijan and Thomas Koch; Klagenfurt Mayor Christian Scheider and ÖEHV President Klaus Hartmann; as well as VSV legends Greg Holst, Guiseppe Mion, Dany Bousquet, Engelbert Linder and Gerhard Thomasser, luge icon Markus Prock, former tennis ace Stefan Koubek, Austria’s former national team football goalkeeper Otto Konrad, Austria Klagenfurt manager Sandro Zakany and former ÖEHV forward Christian Perthaler.
