Winning run for Rossi with the Canucks, Kasper contributes assist in Detroit win
Marco Rossi is currently riding a wave of success with the Vancouver Canucks. On Saturday night, the Canadians celebrated a 5:4 win over the Boston Bruins after a penalty shootout. Rossi contributed an assist in regulation time, as did Marco Kasper. The Carinthian set up the interim 3:0, with the Detroit Red Wings eventually beating the Washington Capitals 5:2.

The trade that brought Rossi to the Canucks took place on 13 December. And it has apparently given the team fresh momentum. The 5:4 win over Boston was their fourth straight victory, and their fourth with Marco Rossi.
The Vorarlberg native also contributed his first assist for his new franchise. "I try to be as consistent as possible and play my game. I take responsibility defensively and try to create as many opportunities as possible offensively," said Rossi in an interview. The forward now has four goals and ten assists.
Marco Kasper has three goals and now two assists. With the Detroit Red Wings, he leads the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference. Following the 5:2 win at the Washington Capitals, the return match in Detroit takes place on Sunday.
