Welcome to the 100-game club, Peter Schneider and Clemens Unter­weger

In February 2018, Peter Schneider made his debut in Austria jersey at the four-nation tournament in Denmark against Latvia, France and the hosts. It was exactly that season in which he first played in what is now known as the win2day ICE Hockey League, after previously spending a few years in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the USA. Since then, the now 35-year-old has been an integral part of the national team and is even leading Austria as captain at a World Championship for the first time this year. 

A little earlier, more precisely in November 2014, Clemens Unterweger was allowed to play for the national team for the first time. The defender, who is a year younger, spent almost his entire career in Austria. In the 2013/2014 season he played in Finland, then returned to the Moser Medical Graz99ers, from where he found his way to record champions EC-KAC in 2018. 

In the fourth game of the 2026 World Championship in Zurich (SUI), both players played their 100th international match against Switzerland.
