Welcome Carina Jakits & Peter Schweda – ÖEHV expands team

As of this season, ÖEHV is once again responsible for running all youth leagues. To this end, the team was expanded and strengthened with Carina Jakits and Peter Schweda during the summer. Peter Schweda is responsible for game operations together with Markus Schaffer, while Carina Jakits is involved in various administrative areas.

Until taking parental leave, Carina Jakits was responsible for the entire events department at the Vienna Capitals, overseeing game days as well as external events. Within ÖEHV, she works in various administrative areas and is involved in organising and delivering home games for the Austrian national teams.

In Peter Schweda, ÖEHV has brought another experienced figure on board. The 31-year-old was a professional ice hockey player himself and also made a name for himself at the Vienna Capitals as a coach and head of youth development.

Peter Schweda has been working for the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation since 1 July, where he is responsible for game operations. This covers all leagues organised by ÖEHV.

In cooperation with Morawa Digital, we were able to launch our own livestreaming platform, which was already put to the test at the U18 Women’s World Championship in Radenthein and through which all games in the leagues organised by ÖEHV are streamed live. By establishing our own marketing GmbH, we can manage the central marketing of the platform even more effectively and handle future events through the GmbH. We are also taking concrete steps in the area of sustainability and have contacted all ice rink operators to explore potential cost savings through the installation of photovoltaic systems. The tasks have also continued to grow steadily over recent months. In Carina Jakits and Peter Schweda, we have found ideal additions to our team, both of whom have settled in very quickly and carry out their work to the highest professional standards. A further addition in the youth development area will complete our team in October, leaving ÖEHV very well positioned for the challenges ahead.”
