In 2022, Marco Kasper and Thimo Nickl at Rögle BK became the first two Austrians to triumph in the CHL. Now Vinzenz Rohrer has followed suit, featuring on the third line in the final and having the 3:0 on his stick in the 37th minute. “We somehow managed it after all. I don't regret my chance, I don't give a shit about that, we won. I want to enjoy this now,” Rohrer beamed in an ORF interview.
Sven Andrighetto (18th, 33th) scored both goals for the Lions, while Per Äslund pulled one back for Färjestad in the 52nd minute to make it 1:2.
