U20 World Cham­pi­onship Divi­sion IA: All Austria games LIVE on krone.at

Austria’s U20 men’s ice hockey national team begins its World Championship Division IA campaign on 9 December. France, Norway, hosts Slovenia, Hungary and Denmark await Head Coach Philipp Pinter’s team in an attractive but challenging group. All games will be broadcast live on krone.at.

“The cooperation with Austria’s widest-reaching media outlet gives our U20 national team great exposure. We are delighted that, through our partner krone.at, all games will be available live and free of charge, making them accessible to a broad audience,” explains ÖEHV Managing Director Bernhard Friedrich.

Austria’s U20 players get underway against France on Monday at 12:30 pm. The team has been preparing intensively for the World Championship in Graz in recent days and will play two more warm-up games against fellow World Championship opponents Slovenia and Hungary on Thursday and Friday.

In 2021, 2022 and 2023, Austria competed in the highest category, the Top Division. Last year, the team celebrated three wins, including a 7:6 shootout victory over Kazakhstan, who were later promoted to the Top Division. Relegated Norway are regarded as one of the tournament favourites.

However, Head Coach Philipp Pinter considers the group to be very evenly matched overall.
