U20 & U15 enter Cham­pi­onship Phase 2

The spusu Vienna Captials claimed 1st place in both the U20 and U15, with just two and one defeats respectively.

In the U20, the Captials, Nordic Hockey Academy, EC Red Bull Salzburg, EC IDM VSV and Eishockey Akademie Oberösterreich make up the top 5.

These five teams will also open Phase 2 this Friday, with the Captials hosting Eishockey Akademie Oberösterreich and Nordic Hockey Academy taking on EC IDM VSV. The 20th and final matchday is scheduled for 18 February 2023, when Phase 2 will conclude.

In the bottom half of the table, Eishockey Akademie Steiermark, HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie, Okanagan Hockey Academy and Icehawks Hockey Club will face each other over a total of ten rounds between 19 November and 18 February 2023.

Standings and results, Phase 1

U15: Capitals, VSV and KAC in three-way battle

Just two points separate the Capitals, VSV and EC KAC. 1st place in the first championship phase was decided by a head-to-head encounter that took place on 11 September.

The Viennese side beat VSV 5:4 in a shootout on that occasion. The Capitals' only defeat of the season came against KAC, who won convincingly 6:1.

This three-way battle will continue in Phase 2, with SPG Okanagan Hockey Academy/EC Lower Austria Stars, Steel Wings Linz and EHC Lustenau also set to have their say. 10 rounds are scheduled, starting on 26 November.

The same applies to Eishockey Akademie Steiermark, HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie, Icehawks Hockey Club, EC Red Bull Salzburg and HTC Black Bulls Ferlach, who will battle for the remaining play-off places in the lower group.
