Following the summer camp in Ferlach in July, the U20 national team will enter competition mode from next week. Head Coach Philipp Pinter's team will first face France, Färjestad BK and Italy in the preliminary round of the highly competitive U20 Super Challenge in Sweden from Tuesday, 15 August, before progressing to the final round.

Looking back on the U20 summer camp, Head Coach Philipp Pinter is confident ahead of next week's preparation tournament in Sweden, although the strong training performances gave him a difficult choice when selecting the final squad for the tournament in Karlstad: "A number of players would certainly have been in contention for Sweden, but for now we have opted for 23 players whom we believe make up the best team we can field for August!"

U16 national team in Salzburg and Füssen

The U16 national team will convene at the Red Bull Akademie in Salzburg, where an extended squad of 46 players will prepare for the subsequent tournament in Füssen (GER), featuring hosts Germany, Switzerland and Slovakia, from 11 to 14 August.

Head Coach Florian Mühlstein aims to identify potential U16 team candidates for next season with his coaching staff: "The aim of the camp in Salzburg is to assess and test 46 players, see them in relation to one another and give them a sense of the structure of the U16 national team next year."

Mühlstein, ÖEHV Head of Youth Education & Development, will announce his squad for the highly competitive four-nation tournament in Füssen after the camp in Salzburg and will focus on defensive work there: "After the camp, we will reduce the squad to one team and travel to a very strong tournament in Füssen. Germany, Switzerland and Slovakia are very high-calibre opponents who are used to playing at a very high level. The focus in the matches will definitely be on work in the defensive zone. It should serve as the foundation for our performance in terms of structure. Alongside implementing what we have learned, a proud and professional work ethic will be essential!"
