Three teams stood out in Phase 1: Nordic Hockey Academy, Fehervar Hockey Academy 19 and EC Red Bull Salzburg. With nine and ten wins respectively from Phase 1, which was played as a single round robin, this trio secured the podium places.

The top 8 teams after the first 14 rounds now move into Division 1 of Phase 2 and are competing for the best possible playoff seeding. The teams in seventh and eighth place will contest the pre-playoffs against the winners and runners-up from Division 2, after which the final quarter-final participants will be determined. Seven teams in Division 2 are competing for the two top spots and the chance to reach the playoffs.

Phase 2 will be played as a one-and-a-half round home-and-away format until the beginning of February. Following the pre-playoff, the winner of Division 1 will have secured the right to take part in the Pick-Round and can select its quarter-final opponent from the teams in 5th to 8th place. The second- and third-placed teams then follow, with the fourth pairing determined automatically.

While the quarter-finals are still played in a best of three format, the semi-finals and final are played in a best of five format.
