U18 National Team wins against Slovenia in overtime

Austria's U18 men's ice hockey national team played a four-nation tournament in Bled and Jesenice during the November break. Following two defeats against their Italian counterparts (2:3 after a penalty shoot-out) and Hungary (1:5), the ÖEHV selection concluded with a 2:1 win over hosts Slovenia.

The team led by Head Coach Mathias Lange – U18 Head Coach Philipp Pinter was in Denmark with the U20 team – fell 0:1 behind against their southern neighbours shortly after the halfway mark.

David Waschnig scored the equaliser (44). Neither team was able to find another goal in regulation time, with overtime deciding the game.

Luca Fasching (63.) ultimately secured a red-white-red victory in Bled with his goal to conclude the tournament.
