U18 National Team visits Four Nations Tour­na­ment in Slovenia

As Head Coach Philipp Pinter is away with the U20 in Denmark, while this time the U18 team will Mathias Lange will serve as Head Coach of the U__OEHV_NUM_E_B__ team on this occasion, and will be able to draw on Stefan Ulmer's expertise for the first time. "I am pleased that Mathias has flown over from America especially for this. The lads are in the best hands. Stefan Ulmer is also involved as a guest coach. He has seen a lot in his career, has been very successful and knows what it takes to succeed at this age," explains Philipp Pinter, who is in daily contact with the U18 coaching staff.

According to the Carinthian, a relatively inexperienced squad will take to the ice in Bled (SLO): "We are leaving out a few players who are automatic starters for us on paper. Some are also injured, while others are away with the U20 National Team. It is an opportunity for others to put themselves in the spotlight."

Slovenia, Italy and Hungary are familiar opponents, and Pinter considers them to be on an equal footing: "It will be a good competition. Our main aim is to test and see how quickly the lads can adapt."
