U18 men's national team to play in a Four Nations Tournament in Budapest during the November break
The U18 men's ice hockey national team will take part in a Four Nations Tournament in Budapest during the IIHF November break. This marks the start of the World Championship countdown for Head Coach Peter Schweda's team ahead of the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division IB, taking place in Tallinn, Estonia, from 25 April 2026 to 01 May 2026.

The international ice hockey season really gets under way in November. Following a short training camp in St. Pölten, Head Coach Peter Schweda's U18 national team will travel to Hungary for a Four Nations Tournament. From Thursday, the ÖEHV selection will face Slovenia, hosts Hungary and Italy at the Tüskecsarnok – ‘Spike Hall’ in German – in Budapest.
By spring 2026, the 34-year-old will prepare his team for the significant task ahead: returning to Division IA. The Division IB World Championship will take place in Tallin (EST) at the end of April 2026. Austria will face Lithuania, South Korea, France, Estonia and Italy.
