Two defeats for Austria's U16 team in Füssen
Austria's U16 men's national team lost 0:7 to hosts Germany at the Three Nations Tournament in Füssen on Saturday. The ÖEHV team had already been beaten 2:4 by their Swiss counterparts on Friday.

Austria began Saturday's morning game at the Bundesleistungszentrum in Füssen with Lennox Setzinger in goal against the DEB selection.
Nikita Kessler gave Germany the lead after just a few minutes (8). Shortly before the end of the first period, Austria's Sam Schwendinger was sent to the penalty box for boarding. The hosts capitalised on the power play 55 seconds before the buzzer to make it 2:0 through Rihards Griva (20).
In the second period, the U__OEHV_NUM_J_A__ national team coached by head coach Florian Mühlsteinthe U16 national team he coached conceded the 0:3 through Max Bleicher (26nd minute). Simon Schlosser (30th) and Mateu Späth (31st) struck twice within 39 seconds to make it 4:0 and 5:0, putting the result beyond doubt.
In the final period, Maxim Schäfer extended Germany’s lead to 6:0 (45rd minute). Gustavs Griva rounded off the scoring with the 7:0 (56th minute).
Narrow defeat against Switzerland on Friday
On Friday, Austria played their first match against Switzerland. The red-white-red team kept pace with the Swiss for a long time and even took the lead in the first period through Leon Buzek even took the lead (14). Just under a minute later, Switzerland equalised through Moritz Hasler (15).
The Swiss took the lead for the first time midway through the game, with Björn Hässig making it 2:1 (30). Austria battled back and got through Maximilian Bärnthalerto level the scores at 2:2 (in the 35 minute). This time, it again took just under a minute for Switzerland to regain the lead, with Luca Nappiot making it 3:2 (in the 36 minute).
In the final period, Florian Schenk made it 4:2, finally putting Switzerland on course for victory (46nd minute). Germany’s U16 had already beaten Switzerland 5:1 on Thursday.
