Three players called up for double-header against Latvia
A total of 25 players will travel to Riga (LAT) on Wednesday morning. They include Max Zimmermann, Bernhard Posch and Lukas Bär, who have been called up and already took part in the first training session on Easter Monday.

"Unfortunately, Dominic Hackl and Julian Pusnik are carrying knocks. We will see whether both of them can return at a later stage of World Championship preparation. Sebastian Wraneschitz has also been injured. Max Zimmermann will now get a chance in his place, while Bernhard Posch and Lukas Bär have been called up," explains Roger Bader.
For the head coach, the first days of World Championship preparation are particularly special: "It is a special moment every year when the team comes together for the first time, even if it is not yet the World Championship team. It is prime time for me now and I am looking forward to it."
The short preparation period for the two test matches against Latvia in Riga this Thursday and Friday is being used intensively. Roger Bader is positively impressed by the standard: "We have many players who have not competed for between three and five weeks, as well as several junior players. I am pleasantly surprised by the standard."
All 25 players and staff will travel to Riga on Wednesday morning, where they will complete a training session in the evening. The first two test matches of World Championship preparation will take place on Thursday and Friday at 18:00. Both matches will be streamed on LIVE.eishockey.at.
