From now on, "normal" training sessions and games – now including body contact – are once again permitted, subject to certain precautionary measures. What needs to be observed?
However, the club or operator of the sports facility must develop, implement and monitor a COVID-19 prevention concept to minimise the risk of infection. This COVID-19 prevention concept must include at least the following topics:
1. Rules of conduct for athletes, support staff and coaches,
2. Requirements for training and competition infrastructure,
3. Hygiene and cleaning plan for infrastructure and equipment,
4. Regulations on conduct in the event of a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
The COVID-19 prevention concept may also include a data protection-compliant system for tracing contacts during training sessions and competitions, such as a voluntary attendance recording system.
What is required for events with more than 100 participants?
Since 1 July, the Relaxation Regulation has required events with more than 100 participants – which may, for example, apply to hockey camps – to appoint a COVID-19 officer in addition to having a prevention concept. Although training courses are not mandatory in this area, we recommend undertaking further training or obtaining information accordingly.
