Steelers lay foun­da­tions for title defence

Four games, four wins – the Carinthian Steelers are flawless this season. At the second of four tournaments in total, including the final tournament to determine the champions, the Carinthians recorded a 12:0 win over the Panthers Graz before following it up with a 13:0 victory against the HV Warriors. 

No fewer than four Steelers players lead the statistics rankings. With 15 goals and 16 assists, Sandro Kalegaris is the points leader, closely followed by team-mate Werner Winkler, who has so far recorded 13 goals and 17 assists.

The Carinthian Steelers can no longer be displaced from 1st place in the standings ahead of the third and final tournament of the regular season. They will take four bonus points into the final tournament.  

In the third game, the HV Warriors drew 5:2 with the Styrian Panthers Graz, repeating their result from the first tournament and can safely consider themselves in 2nd place, which is worth two bonus points for the final tournament.
