Start of the new season: ÖEHV youth leagues begin this weekend

The Austrian Ice Hockey Federation’s youth leagues get under way this weekend. The ÖEHV U20, ÖEHV U15, ÖEHV U11 and ÖEHV U18 International League begin the 2022/2023 season. The opening rounds of the ÖEHV U17 and ÖEHV U13 follow a week later. All games, except for U11 and subject to the AI camera systems having already been installed, will be livestreamed at live.eishockey.at.

From the start of this season, the ÖEHV is once again responsible for organising and running all youth leagues, enhanced the status of the "Austrian Champion" title by standardising the regulations and restructured the age groups.

The U20 has the honour of taking the first face-off, on Friday evening in the game between EV spusu Vienna Capitals and Nordic Hockey Academy. The U15, U11 and U18 International League also enter the fray on Saturday.

All youth games, except for U11, will be livestreamed via the OTT platform implemented in cooperation with Morawa Digital, subject to the cameras and systems having already been installed. In total, around 100 ice rinks and ice surfaces have been and are being equipped with the AI camera system as part of this digitalisation initiative.
