Show­down in Linz: win2day Austrian Women’s Hockey League Final Four

The inaugural season of the win2day Austrian Women’s Hockey League (AWHL) is reaching its climax: on 28 and 29 March 2025, the top four teams will compete for the league’s first championship title at the Linz AG Eisarena. Excitement, action and a high-quality supporting programme will make the AWHL Final-4 presented by Kronen Zeitung a major fan celebration and a true highlight of Austrian ice hockey.

Four teams – one goal: the first AWHL title
Four teams have qualified for the final tournament and will battle for the coveted trophy:

  • Sabres St. Pölten go into the Final-4 as favourites. After winning the regular season and the intermediate round, they now want to crown themselves champions.
  • KSV Highlanders were involved in an exciting battle with Sabres St. Pölten throughout the season and will do everything they can to topple the favourites.
  • Lakers Kärnten became the third team to qualify directly for the Final-4 and have the chance to cause a major upset at the final tournament.
  • EC Graz99ers Huskies, the reigning Austrian champions, had to go through the Qualification Round, but ultimately still secured their ticket to the Final-4.
