Semi-final starts in the U20i and U18i

In both age groups, EC Red Bull Salzburg's youngsters reached the semi-finals and will face Eishockey Akademie Österreich in the U20 and Budapest Jegkorong Akademia in the U18. They won their respective quarter-final series, which were still played in a Best of Three format, 2:0.

Nordic Hockey Academy also did so in the U20, and away at EC IDM VSV too, whom they beat 4:2 and 6:5 in two close games. 

Eishockey Akademie Oberösterreich began with a 6:3 win away to Fehervar Hockey Academy 19, but then lost game 2 2:5. On Saturday evening, they finally made use of home advantage to secure a narrow 3:2 victory and advance to the final four of the competition.

EC Red Bull Salzburg's U18 followed the U20's lead and made use of home advantage in the quarter-finals against Okanagan Hockey Academy, securing their place in the semi-finals with two wins. From Wednesday, they face Budapest Jegkorong Akademia in a Best of Five series. 

In the second semi-final, EC KAC have home advantage for the first two games against Ujpesti Jegkorong Akademia, which they will look to use, as they did in the quarter-finals against DVTK Jegesmedvek Jegkorong Sp., to take a 2:0 lead. The Klagenfurt side are considered favourites, having won all four games in the regular season.

Alongside the race for the final, placement games for 5th and 7th place also get under way in both age groups.
