Semi-final spot up for grabs
Four teams are competing for a place in the semi-finals of the Austrian Women’s Ice Hockey Championship.

Alongside EHV Sabres Wien, DEC Salzburg Eagles and KEHV Lakers, Austria’s participants in the European Women's Hockey League, one further semi-finalist in the Austrian Championship is still to be determined.
This will be decided in the head-to-head match-ups between KSV Neuberg Highlanders, DHC IceCats Linz, EAC Junior Capitals "Flyers" and DEC Devils Graz. The winner of this group of four will advance to the semi-finals, which begin on 6 March.
After the first games in this pre-play-off, the Junior Capitals have taken the early lead with wins over Linz and Graz, moving to the top of the table. However, this is also because favourites KSV Neuberg Highlanders have only been able to play one game so far (6:0 against Graz). The showdown for top spot between the Highlanders and Capitals is scheduled for 27 February, and the winner will likely compete for the Austrian championship title.
