The tournament begins on Saturday, 13th August, at 17 with the clash between München and Mountfield. At 20:30, Salzburg and Zug, two current champions, meet in the second semi-final. The winners of the two semi-finals will face each other in the final on Sunday, 14th August, at 19, preceded by the match for 15rd place at 3.
The “Red Bulls Salute” was held as an international invitational tournament for leading European teams between 2005 and 2013. From 2010, it served as the final tournament of the European Trophy, which was last held in Berlin in 2013. It was then succeeded by the newly founded Champions Hockey League.
The tournament format returned in the summer of 2017 and was first staged again in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (2017 and 2018). In 2019, the traditional tournament was held in Austria again for the first time – in Kitzbühel – where it will take place for the fourth time this year, once again offering fans top-class international ice hockey over two days of tournament action.
