Meanwhile, Budapest Jegkorong Akadémia recorded a clear 4:2 win over Graz99ers Huskies in the European Women’s Hockey League.

In the final game of the first phase of the win2day Austrian Women’s Hockey League, Sabres St. Pölten secured victory in the regular season. With a 4:0 win over DEC Salzburg Eagles, the St. Pölten side drew level on points with KSV Highlanders. However, they finished ahead on the basis of their head-to-head victory. Tamina Schall opened the scoring in the first period, before Hannah Tait added two in the middle period. Lena Artner put the finishing touch on the win.

Budapest Jegkorong Akadémia claimed a 4:2 away win over Graz99ers Huskies. After the opening goal in the first period, the Huskies initially equalised in the middle period before Budapest pulled away to 3:1 with two goals. Budapest eventually prevailed 4:2. Rebecca Brown made a major contribution to her team’s victory with two goals.
