Sabres St. Pölten against Bratislava, Bozen against Aisulu: Who will reach the EWHL final?
The semi-finals of the European Women’s Hockey League take place this weekend. The scores from both legs will be added together, with the team holding the better aggregate score progressing to the final. In the semi-finals, top-seeded HK PSRZ Bratislava face Sabres St. Pölten. EVB Eagles South Tyrol and Aisulu Almaty will also battle for a place in the final.

In the regular season, Bratislava won both meetings against St. Pölten (3:2/OT, 5:1). In the quarter-finals, the Slovak side overcame Budapest Jegkorong Akademia by an aggregate score of 12:6. The Sabres also faced a team from Budapest, winning their series against MAC Budapest 7:5.
South Tyrol face Almaty in the second semi-final. In the regular season, the Bolzano side narrowly came out on top on both occasions (1:0 n.P., 2:0). In the quarter-finals, South Tyrol narrowly avoided elimination: after a 3:4 defeat in the first leg against the KSV Highlanders, they forced overtime with a 4:3 win in the return leg. Justine Reyes delivered the game-winner after four minutes of overtime. Aisulu Almaty had considerably less trouble in the quarter-finals, comfortably beating Silesia 8:2.
