The Austrian Ice Hockey Federation’s (ÖEHV) training and continuing education guidelines provide for instructor training at the 1st stage of coach education. This theoretical and practical-methodological training consists of two modules (basic module and special module).
In Carinthia, the basic module will once again be offered exclusively online.
Venue: Stadthalle Villach
Dates:
- Module 1 – basic module online – date to be announced
- Module 2 – special module: ice hockey instructor – 23 - 24 August 2025 – 07.00-21:00 hrs, 07:00 – 17:30 hrs
- 25 teaching units: ice hockey-specific fundamentals, technique, practical on-ice sessions
- Practical teaching session as part of the module (examination)
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 16 years
- Complete ice hockey equipment must be brought for the practical on-ice sessions.
- After successfully completing both modules and providing proof of attendance at a first-aid course (no more than 3 years old), an application can be made to the ÖEHV for the issue of an instructor licence. Successful completion of the instructor training course is a basic prerequisite for participation in advanced instructor training courses.
