Red Bull Hockey Juniors cele­brate derby win over Zell am See in the Alps Hockey League

In the Salzburg derby, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors claimed a clear 5:1 win over defending champions EK Die Zeller Eisbären. After falling behind early on, Vadim Schreiner, Florian Lanzinger, Nick Maul (2) and Maxim Eliseev turned the game around to secure a convincing home win. With their third win of the season, Head Coach Teemu Levijoki's team moved up to third place and are now level on points with Gherdeina. Following their fourth game, Zell am See sit ninth.

League leaders KHL Sisak responded in the right way after their defeat in Gröden, winning the top-of-the-table clash at Rittner Buam SkyAlps 3:1. The Croatians laid the foundations for victory in the first period through goals from Vito Idzan and Danila Larionovs. Jacob Crespi pulled one back for Ritten, but Marijus Dumcius sealed the result in the final period. With 14 points from six games, Sisak remain top of the table, while Ritten slipped to sixth place on ten points.

In the South Tyrol derby between Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan and HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, the visitors prevailed 2:1. Sacha Guimond gave Gröden the lead in the first period, with Stephan Deluca adding another shortly afterwards. Franco Sproviero created some late suspense, but Gherdeina saw out the win. The “Furie” celebrated their third consecutive victory and moved up to second place in the table on twelve points. The Broncos are just behind them in fourth place on eleven points.

HC Meran/o Pircher celebrated a dramatic last-minute win in their 3:2 victory in Cortina. The visitors were already trailing after goals from Lorenzo Pilan and Daniel Gellon, before Rasmus Nousiainen and David Trivellato, twice, turned the game around in the closing stages. The winning goal came 14 seconds before the end. Meran celebrated their second consecutive win and moved up to eighth place on eight points. Cortina remain seventh, also on eight points.
