Para Ice Hockey National Cham­pi­onship starts on Saturday

With eight wins from eight head-to-head encounters, one of them after a penalty shootout, the Carinthian Steelers Klagenfurt went into the final of the 2022/2023 season as favourites and lived up to that status with their 5:0 victory. It was the third championship in succession secured by the Carinthians.

Although they are once again regarded as favourites for the championship, which gets under way with a double-header this weekend, they expect a highly motivated opponent determined to end their run.

The Styrians demonstrated in 2022/2023 that they have what it takes to claim the throne themselves. Although they lost every game, they came close to victory in three matches.

The 2023/2024 championship consists of six regular-season games.
