In addition to questions surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on play in the Austrian championships, another issue will occupy the restart of ice hockey. At the end of the 2020/21 season, the existing cooperation agreement between the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation and the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League expires at the end of the __OEHV_NUM_C_B__ season.

When Dr Klaus Hartmann took office as the new President of ÖEHV, it became clear that negotiations on continued cooperation with the ICE Hockey League are the highest priority on the Executive Board's agenda. "We will appoint a negotiating team as quickly as possible to contact the league and first clarify the framework conditions. We should know which direction we are heading before the end of the year," says President Dr Hartmann.

The objective of these talks, which ÖEHV is entering into without prejudice and with an open mind as to the outcome, is clear to the President: "We represent the interests of Austrian ice hockey. This must be clearly reflected in the new cooperation agreement."
