ÖEHV Youth Leagues: EC Red Bull Salzburg U17 clinch the championship title!
Second title for EC Red Bull Salzburg's youth teams this season. Following the U18, Salzburg's U17 also claimed the championship crown in 2026. The young Bulls won 4:1 against Eishockey Akademie Oberösterreich in the fourth final game at the Red Bull Akademie Liefering, securing a 3:1 victory in the best-of-five series and becoming Austrian champions in the ÖEHV U17 Championship.

EC Red Bull Salzburg's U17 had won the first two games of the best-of-five series against Eishockey Akademie Oberösterreich away in Linz, 1:0 and 5:0, and went into the third final clash in Liefering on Saturday with their first match puck. However, Linz hit back and claimed their first win of the series with a narrow 2:1 victory. In game four on Sunday, the hosts took an early 1:0 lead through a Mika Stamms power-play goal (6th min.).
In the second period, Upper Austria levelled the score at 1:1 through Philipp Stock (27th min.). That acted as a wake-up call for Salzburg, who immediately regained the lead: Hannes Bär made it 2:1 just 29 seconds after the equaliser (28th min.). After retaking the lead, it took only another 75 seconds before Kirill Berezhnov fired home the 3:1 to give the hosts a two-goal cushion (29th min.).
In the final period, Linz tried everything to get back into the game, but Salzburg were too strong defensively and, together with goaltender Luc Schneider, did not concede another goal. Just under three and a half minutes from the end, Eishockey Akademie Oberösterreich pulled goaltender Fabian Harder for a sixth skater. Salzburg sealed the result when Marcel Wagner scored into the empty net for the 4:1 final score (58th min.).

Okanagan Hockey Academy Eishockey finished third after overcoming Eishockey Akademie Steiermark 6:5 on aggregate under the Champions Hockey League format (2:2 and 4:3 n.P.).
