ÖEHV youth leagues: EC Red Bull Salzburg are cham­pions of the ÖEHV U18 Inter­na­tional League

Having missed their first match point for the title on Saturday, Salzburg made no mistake in the second away match in Budapest against Ujpesti Jegkorong Akademia and steadily extended their lead from the outset. Luca Krizanovic (2nd) and Noel Lußnig (16th) made it 2:0 after 20 minutes.

In the second period, David Bertignoll made it 3:0 before the midway point of the match (28th), while Maximilian Spielmann scored the decisive 4:0 with a minute and a half remaining in the period (39th). In the final period, Salzburg netminder Bastian Bauer, as in the previous periods, did not concede a goal and secured the all-important victory for the Mozart City side with a shutout.

Salzburg's U18 won the fourth final match away to Ujpesti Jegkorong Akademia 4:0, securing a 3:1 series result in the best-of-five series after 3:0 and 5:2 home wins and a 2:3 overtime defeat on Sunday, and are Austrian champions of the ÖEHV U18 International League.

Alps Ice Academy's U18 prevailed 8:5 on aggregate under the Champions Hockey League format (6:1 and 2:4) against EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV to finish third.
