ÖEHV Youth Leagues: EC-KAC Under-13 crowned cham­pions after final victory over Inns­bruck!

The Red Jackets, who had prevailed against the EV spusu Vienna Capitals in the semi-finals, defeated the U13 side of HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie 5:4 in overtime on Saturday. On Sunday, the Carinthians built what appeared to be a comfortable three-goal lead in the opening period through Mathias Schaller (3.), Nicolas Rumpf (11.) and Cristiano Weiss (15.).

The Tyroleans fought their way back into the game in the second period: David Kollegger (at the 26-minute mark) and Maximilian Singer (at the 29-minute mark/PP1) cut the deficit to 2:3, making the second final exciting again. Cristiano Weiss scored his second goal to make it 4:2 for KAC just under four minutes into the final period (at the 44-minute mark). The Klagenfurt side added another, with Marvin Kralj scoring to make it 5:2 and setting the course for the title (at the 49-minute mark). With six seconds remaining, Cristiano Weiss capped a stellar display with his third goal to seal the 6:2 final score.

Third place was secured by the Under-13 side of EV spusu Vienna Capitals, who prevailed in Villach over two games in the Champions Hockey League format, 11:3 (7:3 and 4:0).
