16-year-old forward Vinzenz Rohrer was drafted 27th overall by the Ottawa 67s, Marco Rossi’s former club. Sebastian Wraneschitz (19), the Vienna Capitals goaltender, ÖEHV Juniors’ standout player at the World Championship in December and already capped by the senior national team, was selected 60th overall by the Victoria Royals.

Rohrer, who is from Vorarlberg, most recently played in the ZSC Lions’ youth system in Zurich and is seeking a move. It remains unclear where Vienna native Wraneschitz will play next season. A deciding factor could be whether the goaltender is also selected in the NHL Draft on 23 and 24 July.
