ÖEHV sends four players to the IIHF High Perfor­mance Camp in Vierumäki

This year, too, the IIHF will hold the Women's High Performance Camp in Vierumäki, Finland, from 3 to 10 July 2024. Austrian players Magdalena Luggin, Antonia Matzka, Anna Billa and Emma Lintner will take part, along with Katja Ebenberger as Federation Leader and U18 women's head coach Mario Bellina.

The IIHF has identified several areas that will receive particular attention. These include:

  • Development of leadership skills
  • Communication models that positively influence relationships between athletes, coaches and MNAs, as well as U18 and senior athletes
  • The road to the 2026 and 2030 Olympic Winter Games

With particular regard to the 2026 and 2030 Olympic Winter Games, the international federation intends to address the challenges national associations can expect to face on the road to the Games under the five rings. Solutions will also be discussed and developed together.

Over the coming days, the athletes will be offered training opportunities both on and off the ice. The aim is above all to develop leadership skills and effective communication.
