ÖEHV Para Camp: ‘A highly successful start in Ferlach’

The Austrian para ice hockey national team began its preparations for the 2026/27 season with an intensive skills camp in Ferlach last weekend.

The programme featured four intensive on-ice sessions and one off-ice workout. The focus was on developing individual skills, improving teamwork and preparing as effectively as possible for the upcoming international challenges.

Lucas Herrnegger (Head Coach of the Austrian para ice hockey national team): ‘The start of the 2026/27 season in Ferlach was a complete success—not only because so many players accepted our invitation, but also because the atmosphere within the team was excellent. The ice sessions took us a significant step in the right direction. The players trained with intensity and focus. The camp was ideal preparation for the upcoming tournament in Czechia and, at the same time, a successful start to our preparations for the next World Championship.’
