ÖEHV mourns former Women's Head Coach Christian Yngve
Christian Yngve, the former Head Coach of Austria's women's national ice hockey team, passed away at the age of 61 after a long illness. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and loved ones.

From 2011 to 2013, Christian Yngve served as Head Coach of the women's national team. In the 2011/2012 season, he also took charge of the U18 team and led them to silver at the Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck.
In his native Sweden, he worked for 13 years as both Assistant Coach and Head Coach of the women's national team. His career also took him to Spain and Hong Kong.
In 2002, he won bronze with the Swedish women's team at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City (USA). Yngve was also in demand in the USA itself, spending a total of nine years overseas and working with Montgomery Youth Hockey and Washington Pride.
After his time as national team coach, he worked as a girls' junior coach at Södertälje SK, Åker/Strängnäs HC and, most recently, AIK.
Christian Yngve passed away at the age of 61 after a long illness.
The Austrian Ice Hockey Federation extends its condolences to his family, friends, companions and loved ones.
