ÖEHV is sporting partner at the Cheesecake Tasting at the Vienna Marriott Hotel

On Saturday, 26 September 2026, the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation will be an official partner of the long-standing Cheesecake Tasting at the Vienna Marriott Hotel. ÖEHV is already looking forward to the opportunity to raise the profile of domestic ice hockey beyond its own community – on the Day of Sport itself, which represents exercise and community away from the ice rink as well.

A culinary highlight will be the ‘Icicle Cheesecake’, specially created by Marriott and presented as a partner creation alongside five other varieties from the Vienna Marriott Patisserie. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet Roger Bader, Sporting Director of the men’s national teams and Head Coach of the men’s senior national team, as well as further players from the three senior national teams (women, men, Para), for photos and conversations.

‘The Day of Sport demonstrates how important sport and exercise are to our society,’ says ÖEHV Managing Director Alexander Helwig. ‘We are delighted to be reaching a new audience at the Cheesecake Tasting, one that may previously have had few points of contact with ice hockey. We want to use this special setting to spark interest and inspire people with our wonderful sport.’

Cheesecake Tasting on 26 September

In recent years, the Cheesecake Tasting at the Vienna Marriott Hotel has become an established part of Vienna’s events calendar and has already attracted renowned partners such as FK Austria Wien and the Lillet drinks brand for joint editions. In September, the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation will now join their ranks.

The Cheesecake Tasting will take place at the Vienna Marriott Hotel (Parkring 12A, 1010 Vienna) on 26 September 2026 from 12 noon. Admission is free and no registration or reservation is required.
