ÖEHV expands Executive Board with Finnish-born expert
At the 77th General Assembly of the Austrian Ice Hockey Association last Saturday in Zell am See, Jarkko Petteri Soininen, a native of Finland who is primarily resident in Vienna, was appointed to the ÖEHV Executive Board.

“Jarkko Petteri Soininen is an investment and business professional with an excellent international network. He will cover an important area within the Executive Board in future and will be responsible for marketing, sponsorship and lobbying,” explains ÖEHV President Klaus Hartmann.
Soininen studied industrial engineering and management at Helsinki University of Technology in his native Finland, managed the Hermes European Focus Fund in London (GBR) as a fund manager between 2008 and 2012, has been a member of the Board of Directors of Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA in Oslo (NOR) since 2014, and has been a partner and fund manager of the Redwheel European Focus Fund in London (GBR) since 2012.
Hailing from the country of the reigning Olympic and world champions, Jarkko Petteri Soininen has chosen Vienna as his home. Ice hockey is one of his great passions, and he also played the sport himself as a child and teenager.
Honour for Bader / certificate for Bregenzerwald
During the General Assembly, EC Bregenzerwald was presented with the certificate for its title as Austrian champion of the Alps Hockey League.
Men's Head Coach Roger Bader was also honoured for 100 internationals as head coach of the Austrian men's national ice hockey team. He reached this milestone on 23 May in the final World Championship game against Great Britain, in which Austria secured its place in the Top Division thanks to the 5:3 victory.
The 78th General Assembly will be held in Vienna in June 2023.
