ÖEHV and regional associations deepen cooperation

Intensive discussions were held last weekend to explore and determine the next steps regarding the future representative of the regional associations on the ÖEHV Executive Board. A joint approach was agreed in order to further strengthen cooperation in the future and to ensure that the interests of the regional associations are represented as effectively as possible in the ÖEHV's decision-making processes.

“I would like to once again thank all regional association presidents for being able to make themselves available at such short notice, with almost all of them attending the online meeting. Almost all Executive Board members and the management team represented the ÖEHV. The constructive discussions enabled outstanding questions to be answered. There was swift agreement that we, the ÖEHV and the regional associations, want to work even more closely together in the future in order to consistently develop Austrian ice hockey through a joint effort and, above all, bring even more children into our wonderful sport,” said ÖEHV President Klaus Hartmann with satisfaction.

It was also decided that a successor to Andreas Ösze, who resigned of his own accord, will be appointed promptly to represent the regional associations on the ÖEHV Executive Board. According to the statutes, this representative must come from the ranks of the active regional association presidents.

“It is important to the ÖEHV Executive Board that the ideas, concerns and worries of the regional associations reach us and are heard. This is precisely why the position of representative of the regional association presidents on the ÖEHV Executive Board was created. Information should therefore be passed on in an organised and targeted manner in both directions,” explains Klaus Hartmann, who also stresses how important it is for everyone to pull together as one.
