No tour­na­ment in Füssen

After both the Czech Ice Hockey Federation and the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation had cancelled the upcoming four-nation tournament for U16 national teams in Füssen, Germany, due to the current COVID-19 situation, the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation has also decided to withdraw the participation of its boys' U16 national team.

"The safety of our players is the absolute priority. Even though it would have been an outstanding tournament for our team from a sporting perspective, we must now prioritise the safety and health of our players. We fully understand the decision by the Czech Republic and Switzerland and, together with U16 Head Coach Dieter Werfring, have decided to cancel our participation for this year," said Sporting Director Roger Bader. "However, we are confident that we will be able to play the planned tournaments with all our national teams in November."
