New staff member

The Austrian Ice Hockey Federation filled the vacant position in marketing, event management and sponsorship as quickly as possible. Since 1 June, Ferdinand Perktold has been responsible for the aforementioned areas and will in future be in charge of all ÖEHV events, the unified brand presence, social media channels and sponsor support.

Now 27 years old, the Viennese native came into direct contact with ice hockey during his childhood and youth. He began his active ice hockey career with Wiener Eislauf-Verein and the EAC Junior Capitals, ending it three years ago. During his time as an officer in the Austrian Armed Forces, he completed his Master’s degree in “Entrepreneurship and Applied Management” at FH Wiener Neustadt. He gained extensive experience in marketing, digital presence and social media through founding a start-up.

“We are pleased to have found an employee who is very familiar with ice hockey for the position in marketing and events. We want to drive forward a realignment of our digital presence and make all our international matches more attractive to a wider audience,” says Managing Director Friedrich Nikolaus.
