New main sponsor for Black Wings

The Black Wings 1992 have unveiled the Steinbach Group as their new main sponsor. Shortly before the match between Linz and EC Red Bull Salzburg, the contract was signed. The Steinbach Group manufactures swimming pools and pool accessories.

The Linz club's board is delighted to welcome a major Upper Austrian company – headquartered in Schwertberg – as its new main sponsor. "We are very pleased that our team is supported by Steinbach," says Peter Freunschlag, President of the Black Wings.

"The right partners are an important building block for a successful season," adds Gregor Baumgartner, Manager of the Black Wings. Horst Lauß, Managing Director of Steinbach, is also pleased about the new partnership: "The Black Wings are a traditional Linz club. As an Upper Austrian company, we are very proud to be able to support the team."

The ICE Hockey League match between Bratislava Capitals and Dornbin Bulldogs scheduled for Saturday had to be cancelled and postponed indefinitely. The league announced this on Friday.

The reason is a positive Covid-19 test in Bratislava. In accordance with the prevention concept, Bratislava Capitals reacted by immediately informing the relevant health authority and the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. The next steps will be defined at the beginning of next week following consultation with the Slovak health authorities.
