Morawa awards World Championship bonus for the holidays
Austria's Men's Ice Hockey National Team brought a long season to an end with an outstanding 11th-place finish at the World Championship, and it was time to head off on holiday. To stock up on the latest bestsellers, magazines or other reading material, the team received a small World Championship bonus from Morawa in the form of a €50 voucher.

May will remain in our memories for a long time: outstanding results such as the draw against the USA, the first-ever win over the Czech Republic, securing their place in the top division and, as a bonus, 11th place – their best World Championship finish since 2004 – have secured the 2022 World Championship a place in the history books.
When it came to books, Morawa answered the call and is providing every member of the National Team, including the support staff, with a voucher worth €50. Books, travel guides, e-books, audiobooks, films, music, games and much more – the selection is a real treat for a well-earned holiday and the chance to properly switch off.
“We not only want to support exceptional performances, but also reward them. As ÖEHV's statistics partner, we congratulate our Austrian Men's Ice Hockey National Team on staying in the top division and on an extremely successful 2022 World Championship,” explains Wolfgang Rick, CEO of Morawa Buch und Medien.
In addition, the newest member of the Morawa Group – Morawa Digital – has become indispensable to Austrian ice hockey. “Video recordings and broadcasts, analysis software and statistics have been essential in professional sport for years in order to address the individual strengths and weaknesses of each player precisely and improve the sporting performance of the whole team. Through our collaboration with ÖEHV (Stats) and several regional associations (streaming/analysis), we are making these professional set-ups accessible to amateur clubs for the first time, so that professional development does not only begin at professional clubs and talent can be supported and discovered even more effectively,” says Philipp Rangger, Chief of Sales at Morawa Digital and continues: “However, relaxation after work has been done is equally important – we wish Austria's Men's Ice Hockey National Team lots of enjoyment while reading.”
Roger Bader, Head Coach of the Men's Ice Hockey National Team: “Including preparation, we have had almost eight intensive weeks behind us. What the team achieved in Finland cannot be rated highly enough. Even during the preparation period or a tournament, it is enormously important to clear your head time and again. Everyone has their own strategies for this. Books, music and series are right at the top of the list. Many thanks to Morawa for the vouchers and the support.”
