Marco Rossi scores the first playoff goal of his career in Minnesota win over Las Vegas!
He is finally back on the scoresheet – and in some style: ÖEHV forward Marco Rossi scored his first NHL playoff goal and added his first playoff assist for Minnesota Wild in the 5:2 win in the third playoff clash against the Vegas Golden Knights. Minnesota therefore lead the series in the Western Conference First Round for the first time, holding a 2:1 advantage.

In front of 19.058 fans at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Rossi was perfectly positioned in the slot and scored to make it 2:0 for Minnesota in the seventh minute, after Kirill Kaprizov had given the Wild the lead on the power play just under three minutes in. For the Vorarlberg native, who recorded 60 points (24 goals, 36 assists) in the regular season, it was the first playoff goal of his career in his third playoff game.
After Alex Pietrangelo pulled one back to make it 1:2 for Las Vegas in the first period and Matt Boldy restored the two-goal lead in the second, Marco Rossi set up the 4:1 on the power play, scored by Kirill Kaprizov two seconds before the second buzzer.
Rossi, who once again centred the fourth line, played a total of 10:52 minutes across 18 shifts, had four shots on the opposing goal and delivered one hit. Minnesota Wild ultimately won 5:2 and took a 2:1 lead in the "Best-of-Seven" series against the Vegas Golden Knights.
