Lustenau cele­brate emphatic win over Dorn­birn / Kängurus and WEV triumph in the East

EHC Lustenau produced a scintillating display in front of almost 600 fans on Saturday evening. The home side set themselves on course for victory within 13 seconds. Felix Zipperle and Ricardo Bell struck in the 6th minute of the game. A total of eight players got on the scoresheet over the course of the evening. Lustenau hold a commanding lead at the top of the West Division table, while the DEC Bulldogs remain adrift at the bottom.

Kapfenberg turn the game around in Maribor
Maribor took the lead twice before the Kängurus went ahead for the first time shortly before the end of the second period through Kevin Moderer. In a heated final phase, in which the home side pressed for an equaliser, Lukas Draschkowitz scored the decisive 4:2 goal in the 55th minute. Almost two minutes later, Maribor converted a power play for a goal back, then pulled their goaltender, but Kapfenberg held on.

WEV celebrate second win within 24 hours
Wiener Eislauf-Verein followed up their 4:0 victory over KSV Kängurus the previous day with a 4:1 win against ATSE Graz on Saturday evening. Following an evenly contested first period, Lukas Pohl restored the Viennese side's lead in the 39th minute. Despite the visitors having the greater number of chances, the Viennese side scored the goals in the final period. Stefan Nador and Lukas Kaider sealed the win and their 10th victory of the season.
