LIVE.eishockey.at – Statement from Morawa Digital
On Monday evening, livestreams from various domestic leagues, as well as the U20 World Championship in Canada, experienced transmission issues and, in some cases, outages, much to the regret of the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation and its partner Morawa Digital. Morawa Digital immediately investigated the causes at an emergency meeting. All tickets purchased during the affected period will be refunded. Together, they are working intensively to provide the upcoming games in top quality.

It is a pioneering project in Austrian ice hockey, which the ÖEHV has undertaken together with Morawa Digital. As part of the Federation's digitalisation drive, its own OTT platform LIVE.eishockey.at, through which all leagues organised by the ÖEHV, as well as the matches of our national teams that are not shown on free-to-air TV, are livestreamed, is a key component. To this end, around 100 ice rinks and ice surfaces across Austria have been and are being equipped with AI cameras.
With Morawa Digital, the ÖEHV has the right partner at its side to realise and implement its livestreaming objectives. Despite intensive preparation, problems can still arise during operations in a project of this scale. These must be identified and resolved as quickly as possible.
On Monday evening, transmission issues and, in some cases, outages occurred, much to everyone's regret.
Morawa Digital explained in a statement to the Federation and stakeholders:
Dear club officials!
Dear partners!
Unfortunately, a number of things went wrong on LIVE.eishockey.at over the Christmas holidays. We would like to expressly apologise to you for this. The reason for the problems was issues with the server infrastructure. Due to the holidays, our technicians had a longer response time than usual. This was also because we had to coordinate with external service providers to resolve the issue.
The Morawa Digital team is taking full responsibility for the situation and is working at full speed to restore the usual quality across the board. Naturally, we will refund all tickets purchased during this period, regardless of whether the ticket purchased was directly affected.
For us, a partnership in practice means addressing mistakes and enabling further development. With that in mind, we wish you a pleasant holiday period and much enjoyment watching the U20 World Championship live on LIVE.eishockey.at
