League leaders Red Bull Hockey Juniors win at Adler Kitzbühel in the Alps Hockey League

Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel's six-game winning streak has come to an end. The fourth-placed side suffered a 3:6 home defeat to league leaders Red Bull Hockey Juniors. The Juniors, meanwhile, extended their lead at the top to four points over Sisak and claimed their eighth win from the last ten games. In the first meeting of the season, Salzburg had narrowly prevailed 2:1. On Thursday, the Juniors made a lightning start, taking the lead through Adrian Gesson after just 44 seconds. Nick Maul made it 2:0 for the visitors in the seventh minute. Kitzbühel subsequently grew into the game and equalised by the 25th minute, only for the Juniors to regain the lead shortly afterwards. The visitors took a 3:2 lead into the final period, in which Kitzbühel initially equalised again through Henrik Hochfilzer. However, the Adler had no response to the league leaders taking the lead once more, leaving the Tyroleans with a 3:6 defeat.

EK Die Zeller Eisbären won 4:2 at S.G. Cortina Hafro to move up to third place in the standings. It was already the Eisbären's sixth consecutive victory, while Cortina suffered their third straight defeat and now sit ninth in the table. Zell am See led 2:0 after just three minutes, but Cortina recovered well from the early setback and equalised in the first period. It was then not until the 52nd minute that Philip Putnik restored the visitors' lead, before the defending champions sealed the win with an empty-net goal in the final minute.

After four consecutive wins, second-placed KHL Sisak narrowly lost 1:2 at home to HC Migross Asiago. For the fifth-placed Italians, it was a second straight win and their first victory over Sisak. The Croatians had won the first meeting of the season 5:4 away from home. Ryan Valentini gave the visitors from Asiago the lead in the 13th minute, before Nicholas Porco made it 2:0 on the power play in the 34th minute. Bohdan Panasenko scored the home side's only goal, also with the man advantage, in the 43rd minute. Sisak then had numerous chances to equalise, but could not find a way through.

HDD Jesenice led 2:0 at HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, but ultimately lost 2:3. Gröden, currently tenth in the table, therefore celebrated their first win after six consecutive defeats, while eleventh-placed Jesenice suffered their fourth loss in the last five games. Things looked good for last season's Slovenian finalists until the 43rd minute, but Martin Castlunger's goal to pull one back sparked the comeback. Luka Moncada equalised in the 49th minute, and Simon Pitschieler turned the game in Gröden's favour just three minutes later.

Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan also won their third game in a row to retain eighth place in the standings, while bottom side Hockey Unterland Cavaliers suffered their second consecutive defeat. In the 2:1 home win, Alexander Brunner gave the home side from Sterzing the lead in the twelfth minute, before Davide Conci made it 2:0 in the 21st minute. The score remained unchanged until the 52nd minute, when Thomas Pisetta scored to make it 1:2 for Unterland. However, the visitors were unable to find an equaliser.
