League leaders EK Zeller Eisbären beat cham­pions Rittner Buam SkyAlps

League leaders Zell am See and reigning champions Ritten served up a high-quality and exciting game in front of 2.500 spectators. Hubert Berger scored the only goal of the first period, before Ritten equalised after the restart. A McLeod double briefly gave the home side a clearer advantage, but the South Tyroleans hit back as Fink (39.) and Szypula (41.) restored parity. With seven minutes remaining, Max Wilfan put Zell back in front, before a Jennes goal sealed the 5:3 final score. The Pinzgau side therefore remain three points ahead of Jesenice.

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice celebrated their fifth consecutive win, with the Slovenians beating Kitzbühel 7:3. The visitors took the lead through a Chris Schutz double, but two Sillanpää goals made it 2:2 in the 22nd minute. Kitzbühel took the lead once more, but Jesenice turned the game around with two late goals in the middle period – 4:3. Tadej Cimzar added another on the power play in the third period, before two further goals completed the scoring.

With a 4:2 win in Celje, Unterland Cavaliers moved up to seventh place. In a game featuring several penalties for both sides, the South Tyroleans took the lead in the second period. The hosts did equalise, but Unterland then scored twice short-handed within 19 seconds, through Alex Egger and Michael Sullmann. The Slovenians pulled one back, before an empty-net goal from Kristians Samitis sealed the final score.

Wipptal Broncos laid the foundations for their home win over Meran in the first period. Nicholas Campoli and Paul Eisendle scored within 19 seconds. Adam Capannelli extended the lead to 3:0 in the middle period, with Meran managing only a consolation goal. While Meran's four-game winning streak came to an end, the Broncos moved up to ninth place.

KHL Sisak visit EC Bregenzerwald twice within 24 hours. In Friday's game, the Croatian side recorded a convincing victory. A quick double in the seventh and eighth minutes put Sisak on course early on. The visitors also had the game fully under control in the second period and extended their lead to 4:0. Sisak did not allow the hosts back into the game and eventually prevailed 5:1. Vlastimil Dostalek scored twice. This win moved the Croatians closer to the top 5. Bregenzerwald, who have won just one of their past six games, are gradually losing touch with the top-10 teams.
