KSV Highlanders take over top spot in the win2day AWHL with a shutout

In the only Tuesday game in the win2day Austrian Women’s Hockey League, the KSV Highlanders celebrated a 4:0 derby victory over the EC Graz Huskies. While Marie-Camille Theoret scored a brace, goaltender Katharina Schellnegger did not concede. The shutout also saw the Kapfenberg team take over top spot in the AWHL standings.

The KSV Highlanders set the tone from the outset in their first AWHL home game. Marie-Camille Theoret gave them the lead after just three minutes, before Kensie Malone made it 2:0 on the power play shortly before the first intermission.

The decisive moment came in the middle period, when Sara Confidenti and Theoret made it 4:0. The score remained unchanged until the final buzzer, with KSV goaltender Katharina Schellnegger recording her first shutout of the season. The derby victory also sent the Highlanders top of the AWHL standings.
