Martin Kasperlík gave the hosts the lead on the power play (9th minute). The blue-and-whites also quickly equalised on the power play through Blaž Tomaževič (11th minute).

In the second period, Kasperlík again put the Poles 2:1 ahead (33rd minute). VSV were able to equalise once more through Nicolas Mattinen on a 5:3 power play (36th minute). Roman Rác set Comarch Cracovia on course for victory in the final period (49th minute).

Clear defeat for VSV against Färjestad

The EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV were outclassed away to Swedish champions Färjestad Karlstad in their CHL comeback on Friday, losing 0:7.

Ejdsell was on target again in the second period, making it 3:0 on the power play. Henrik Björklund added a fourth to make it 4:0 five minutes before the second intermission.

Salzburg win opener

Salzburg initially found it difficult against the Stavanger Oilers in the opening game of the new Champions Hockey League season on Thursday. After a scoreless opening period, however, the Red Bulls took control and went ahead through a power-play goal by Troy Bourke in the 27th minute.

Florian Baltram hit the post while shorthanded shortly afterwards, and it remained 1:0 after 40 minutes. The Norwegians equalised after the restart, but Peter Schneider (47th) restored the hosts' lead. However, the Oilers made it 2:2 on the power play just 83 seconds later.

The score remained the same in overtime, where Salzburg goaltender Tolvanen distinguished himself. Just a few seconds after his save, Florian Baltram scored the winner from a Wukovits pass.
